To My Spirit Sisters of the Heart
We together went on a walk in the desert this morning.
Did you smell the fragrance of flowers from the unwintered gardens?
Invisible flowers not in bloom wafting in delicate patches among the Allthorns.
Did you see the bird fly across our path as we headed east?
His wide owl wings encircled us in a quick embrace, abruptly turned and disappeared West.
Did you catch the surprise of the devil’s claw bushes?
They offered us their seed pods with hooked fairy tendrils in their scaly arms.
Did you absorb the sunlight on your closed eyelids?
The warming rays lit up your heart and mine while we spread our arms to accept the love.
Did you clench my hand gently holding yours?
The miniature cities welcomed us as we walked in the ruts created from last week’s rain.
We are together in our dreams and childhood and antiquity.
It was a beautiful walk and I am so grateful that you join me here.
I love you.
